The Biology Education Study Program has just wrapped up its Odd Semester Socialization with updates every student should know! Minimum graduation requirement is 145 credits. Elective courses are set as follows: 1 in Semester 3, 2 in Semester 5, and 3 in Semester 7. Students must also complete 4 consultations in Siakad and regularly check their study duration, with a maximum of 7 years.

For research, Semester 6 is the time when students will receive their Biology Research supervisor, and the project will be carried out in Semesters 6 and 7. The Student and Lecturer Research Seminar is planned for November 2025.

Thesis preparation starts in Semester 6 alongside the Research Methodology course. Students can choose from three types of thesis: Quantitative (quasi-experiment), Mixed Method (PTK), or Simple Research and Development. Validation will be conducted by the supervisor, and for R&D also by an external validator. Students may skip the thesis defense if they have published in a reputable journal or won PIMNAS in a biology-related topic. Remember to keep the thesis logbook updated in Siakad.
