The Undergraduate Biology Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) has carried out curriculum reconstruction every five years. The latest curriculum reconstruction was in early 2022 and named as The 2022 Curriculum. It is a dynamic curriculum that may be improved, and updated according to the needs of users and stakeholders by matching the changing era.

This curriculum is also constructed to respond to changes from the very rapid development of science and technology, economic, social, and cultural changes also occur at a high rate. There must be a transformation of learning to be able to equip and prepare graduates

to become superior biology educators. Educators who are responsive and ready to face the challenges of their era, without being uprooted from the cultural roots of their nation. Learning in the 2022 Curriculum provides challenges and opportunities for the development of creativity, capacity, personality, and student needs, as well as developing independence in seeking and finding knowledge through realities and field dynamics such as ability requirements, real problems, social interaction, collaboration, self-management, performance demands, targets and achievements.

Hopefully, this curriculum document will be useful for the Biology Education Study Program as well as a guide for implementing the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), and finally, the Biology Education Study Program is able to produce superior, pious, civilized, knowledgeable, professional.
