Biology Education Students of UNS Conduct Field Work Lecture in Desa Purwosari, Kulonprogo on June 25–26, 2025
Biology Education students of FKIP UNS conducted a field work lecture as part of the Ornithology course on June 25–26, 2025, in Desa Purwosari, Jatimulyo District, Kulonprogo Regency. This program was designed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences in bird observation and field-based ecological studies.
On the first day, students were introduced to the fundamentals of wildlife photography using professional cameras. They learned how to capture images of birds in their natural habitats while maintaining ethical distance and respecting animal behavior. This session equipped students with technical skills that support both scientific research and conservation awareness.
The second day focused on a birdwatching session in the field. Equipped with binoculars and field guides, students identified various bird species, observed their behaviors, and documented their findings in field journals. Through this program, students not only improved their technical and observational skills, but also gained a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and local ecosystems.
