*The Biology Education Study Program Successfully Organized an International Guest Lecture on Collaborative Learning Activities with Prof. Kiyoyuki Ohshika from Aichi University of Education, Japan, on July 1, 2025.*
The Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sebelas Maret, had the honor of hosting a guest lecture by Prof. Kiyoyuki Ohshika from Aichi University of Education, Japan. Held on July 1, 2025, at the Hall of Building F, the session was moderated by Dr. Murni Ramli, S.P., M.Si., Ed.D., and welcomed participants from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts of Biology Education and the 2023 cohort of Science Education.
Prof. Ohshika opened the lecture by exploring the concept of Collaborative Learning Activities, focusing on how student-centered learning encourages critical thinking, peer interaction, and shared academic responsibility. He provided practical insights based on Japanese science education, emphasizing how structured collaboration can enrich clas.
