Biology Education Study Program at Universitas Sebelas Maret Achieves “UNGGUL” Accreditation from LAMDIK

The Biology Education Study Program under the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), has successfully achieved the “UNGGUL” (Excellent) accreditation from Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Kependidikan (LAMDIK) or The Accreditation Council for Education (ACE). This achievement is a testament to the program’s commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of education, research, and community service.

One of the crucial stages in this accreditation process was the on-site assessment, which took place on January 24–25, 2025. During this stage, the Biology Education Study Program underwent a comprehensive evaluation, including an analysis of academic documents, curriculum review, assessment of research quality, evaluation of facilities and infrastructure, and the involvement of the academic community in various academic and non-academic activities.

The assessment team consisted of Dr. Agr. Saefudin, M.Si. from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Prof. Dr. Lis Nur Aisyah, S.P., M.P. from Universitas Negeri Jember. Both assessors have extensive experience in education, quality assurance, and accreditation evaluation, providing constructive feedback for the program’s future development.

Achieving the “UNGGUL” accreditation is a significant milestone for the Biology Education Study Program at UNS. This accomplishment reflects high academic standards, a curriculum aligned with the latest advancements in science and technology, and a strong contribution to producing competent and competitive graduates. Additionally, this recognition further strengthens the reputation of FKIP UNS as one of Indonesia’s leading educational institutions in teacher training.

With this milestone, the Biology Education Study Program at UNS is more prepared than ever to face global challenges in education and scientific research. Hopefully, this success will serve as a stepping stone toward even greater achievements and create a lasting positive impact on education and research in Indonesia.
